interlaced encoding comparison.............i suggest saving these pages [IE users;File->Save As...type "Web Page,complete",or "Web Archive,single file"....] , and then opening all of them in separate browser windows,so you can compare each to another.....position the pages on a particular image and switch between browser windows....
different pages always opening in a same browser (IE) window? Tools->Internet Options->Advanced->Uncheck "Reuse Windows for launching shortcuts"
IMPORTANT NOTICE;if you toyed with same codecs (as i used in
any of these tests) and produced the results that significantly

Virtualdub Support Forums , so we can discuss it further and
so i can update my pages if there's a need (ie. if i was wrong
about some codec's performance...)

page1:sources [768x576 mjpeg.avi loaded to vdub1.5.4-mpeg2-ac3 (fcchandler's mod of vdub,supports loading of mpeg2 videos),<ctrl+1>,paste to irfanview310,make jpeg at "90" quality...all screenshots in this test were produced in such manner....]
